Loan Traps & Dropouts: R. R. Pandayan Saheb’s Warning About Student Exploitation
Jai Bhim Sena

In a nation where education is hailed as the key to progress, it’s tragic that students from poor and middle-class backgrounds are being pushed into financial traps in the name of dreams. R. R. Pandayan Saheb, the National President of Jai Bhim Sena, has raised a strong voice against the growing exploitation of students through education loans, private institutes, and overpriced colleges that have turned learning into a burden instead of liberation.

Education or Debt Trap ?

Today, thousands of students are dropping out of college—not because they lack talent, but because they can't pay. From hidden fees and overpriced coaching to interest-heavy education loans, young Indians are walking into a system that promises them careers but delivers only pressure.

R. R. Pandayan Saheb questions how a country can build a skilled youth force when students are buried in debt before they even earn their first paycheck.

He highlights how private institutions often charge lakhs in tuition, offer no job security, and force families into loans that ruin them for generations.

The pressure to pay EMIs drives many students into anxiety, mental health issues, or even suicide.

Government’s Small-Scale Help Is Not Enough

While the government runs a few schemes and scholarships, R. R. Pandayan Saheb believes these are limited in scope, under-publicized, and not reaching those who need them the most. He calls out the government for focusing on “token help” and not addressing the root problem—the commercialization of education.

Pandayan Saheb says, “A nation that burdens its youth with debt cannot dream of development. We don’t need more exams—we need free education, transparent policies, and government-backed support at scale.” He warns that if the government continues to ignore this issue, dropouts will increase, talent will be wasted, and inequality will only deepen.

Pandayan Saheb’s Vision and Demand

R. R. Pandayan Saheb has proposed a 5-point reform plan to stop student exploitation:

  1. Interest-free education loans for SC, ST, OBC, and poor general category students.
  2. Mandatory fee regulation on private institutions across India.
  3. Direct scholarship credit from the government to student accounts—not through colleges.
  4. Job-linked training programs and vocational education integrated into all courses.
  5. Mental health support cells and loan counseling in every college.

He also aims to launch legal awareness drives for students and parents through the Bhim Sena Student Wing, educating them about their rights, real job prospects, and how to avoid loan scams.

Final Appeal to the Government

Pandayan Saheb calls on both central and state governments to stop doing small-scale charity and start real structural change. He urges policymakers to invest not just in buildings and new NEP policies, but in the real lives of students who are dropping out every day.

“This is not just about education. This is about justice.

A just society does not sell hope on credit. It delivers opportunity with dignity.” — R. R. Pandayan Saheb
